This will be my first tape that’s all instrumentals. Being from Philly your Eagles just won a Super Bowl. How did that win help raise spirits in your city? We needed that win. Philadelphia is a rough city to grow up in. It’s the poorest major city in the country. The city needed that win. Just a way to come together for something positive. Last t

Check out “Love Rising” – the New Video by Brandon James

Original article at -  http://jamsphere.com/videos/check-out-love-rising-the-new-video-by-brandon-james When it comes to music in the Great Lakes, no city rocks harder than Chicago. In a town famous for mobsters and deep-dish pizza, one of Chicago’s most vibrant yet often overlooked cultural exports is its thriving underground music scene. One of those exports is R&B artist Brandon James. Brandon James is a quality songwriter both musically and lyrically, with a fine gift for melody and a voice that is both distinctive and easy on the ear. While it’s hard these days for a songwriter to break through, he has everything it takes and a new album on the way this summer to help him breakthrough. Introducing Pharho

1. Where are we talking from today? A. Philadelphia , the “City of Brotherly Love.” 2. How did you get involved in music? A. When I was younger my mother would always play music throughout the day. Rather it was rap, jazz, or R&B. She used to catch me drumming on the table trying to emulate the beat that was coming through the speakers. Music was a way that I could express my emotions. I would write a song a day and edit some older ones frequently.  She bought me a mini keyboard when I was seven, I would spend hours a day trying to play popular tones on it. 3. Can you describe your music? A. My music is pretty much laid back. I talk about the everyday struggle that we all face growing up in an urban setting. I speak for the people who don't have a voice. I speak for the single mothers, the children growing up with no father. The everyday hustle trying to survive. The kid that they forgot about. 4. Music wise, what are you working on? A. Trying to get my musi

Grisly BK releases crazy cocaine influenced hustler’s anthem "Robe On A Pope"

The up and comer Grisly Bk is back at it with a hot trap track -Robe On A Pope- music video. The hard gangsta music brought to mind The Notorious B.I.G.’s debut Ready to Die, unleashed back in 1994. The track highlights open-air crack deals, robberies at gunpoint on the A train and shootouts with the NYPD . The Brooklyn, New York’s rap artist Grisly BK has successfully brought the past into the present with his style. The superior mix constitutes content from the past that’s still relevant at the present. I like Grisly’s ability to embrace emotions as he delivers this track, be able to tone remarkably well yet the track is damn aggressive. If you’re hanging on the fence about this talented artist, be sure to check his E.P, two mixtapes and two singles to get a glimpse of this lyricist. This track portrays an artist that grew up on gangsta music in the crack era. It’s without a doubt that he listened to guys like Kool G Rap , I’m glad we have someone representing Brooklyn so dam
