Eminem "Revival" Album Review

The best and worst Eminem record I've ever heard.  Album Rating 3 out of 4.  Song Rating System 4 out of 4 - Really liked  3 out of 4 - Liked  2 out of 4 - Didn't like  1 out of 4 - No response  "Revival" is the ninth studio album by American rapper Eminem . The album was released on December 15th, 2017 through Aftermath Entertainment , Shady Records , and Interscope Records . ( Wikipedia )  1. Walk On Water ( feat. Beyonce ) - 4 out of 4 - Probably will go down as one of the most underrated of Eminem's hits. The song encompasses all of the talents and personalities of one of this generations greatest artist. 13 Questions With J Curly Speegle

1. Where are we talking from today?      A. I'm in Nashville, TN 2. Where did you get your artist name from? A. I was the lead guitarist for Rock & Roll Hall of fame Leon Russell from 2005 to 2007.  When I joined the band I had long curly hair.  Leon mentioned to me after a couple of gigs that he thought that  "I ought to have a power name".  Hence that day, I became J. "Curly" Speegle...  He was big on that sort of thing.  His real name was Claude Russell Bridges, so it kinda made sense. 3. Music wise, what are you working on right now? A. I'm actually on a hiatus at the moment.  I started touring at 19 or 20 and stayed there for a lot of years, so I'm just enjoying a little downtime... 4. Who or what were the most significant influences on your musical life and career? A. Well, Leon Russell obviously.  But there are a lot more that are pretty significant as well.  There is a gentleman by the name of Owen...

How Original is Your Music?

Original article by Christopher Knab If you’ve ever attended a music business conference like the SXSW event in Austin, Texas every year, or the New Music Seminar and walked into a Demo Listening Session, you may have encountered this: a panel of A&R Reps from major and independent labels evaluate a demo recording that’s been submitted to them. The first song is played, and after about ten seconds the Reps are holding their hands over their ears, or waving for the sound technician to “Turn it off!” Another song is cued up, and after twenty seconds the music is stopped and the Reps are muttering. “That really sucks,” “I’ve heard that before,” “That sounds like an ’90's band,” or “Please, Nine Inch Nails already did over twenty years ago!” Rude but honest comments like these are made by industry reps all the time at such conferences, as well as in the privacy of their own offices, homes, and cars. Remember this. Just because you can record your own music, doesn’t mean y...
